Movement Correction.
Our specialty, finding out where things are going wrong. We believe it’s more simple than the current fitness culture leads us to believe. However getting out of chronic pain and correcting faulty movement patterns isn’t easy. Often our structure becomes misaligned when there is overuse, trauma, and compensations in certain muscles, we always start with correcting this regardless of where your fitness is.

Behavioural Protocol.
Chronic anxiety or depression can be a tricky and complex subject. Everyone says training helps you but most can’t tell you why. However we have some principles that can. Understand that these are states of the human condition and not mental diseases. It’s important to know that these states are trying to tell you something, and can be altered if approached correctly. When the body and the mind don’t talk to each other, this is where issues arise.
Team Training.
What we find most with sports teams is their individual ability to handle stress or pressure with their performance. We also know our place, we aren’t here to work on sport specific drills, that’s what their coach is for, were more concerned with their ability to perform both physically and mentally. It always starts with a strong base, a durable individual creates an impenetrable team.

Deep Roots Athletics believes in principles not methods, both in life and training.
The main aim of our training principles is to enhance you the client, the individual. We don’t tell you how to move, we give you the tools and show you what to feel. We enhance you by coaching you through human movement, understanding how movement affects your behaviour and most importantly connecting you back with your body.
We believe there is something fundamentally wrong being in chronic pain whether that be in high level sports, or just every day life. We don’t think its normal to feel 90 when you’re only 40. The body needs help from time to time, however constant reliance on RMT, Physio, and Chiropractors in our opinion is not the answer. You’re either fitting the problem, or fixing it.
A greater vision for our training is getting clients to understand how the mind and body come together as one and take action. We feel that the true path to a joyful, healthy pain free life is through hardship, intention, and authenticity. we coach you not just how to train through human movement and exercise, but we teach you how to face hardship with intention, while finding your way to the most authentic version of yourself.

Our Team
Jonathan Adams
My story goes way back to the age of 13, from hockey player to skateboarder, turned cross fitter and olympic lifter I have been moving and keeping fit ever since. However after all those years of hard physical sport, by the age of 26 I had bad knees, a mangled back, and a very unhappy shoulder. I woke up one day thinking, “How is this normal to be feeling like I’m 80 when I’m only 26?”
Jarrett Jackson
For myself fitness was never in the plan. I did not come from an athletic household, I really only played rugby in high school to get invited to parties, and I simply watched sports to be able to keep up conversations with customers about the Blue Jays while I was bartending.
